We're all here! :D
Our first day here has been very hot but very fun. We're all excited to finally be together again and looking forward to an awesome week. It's very hot and humid, and it's only supposed to get hotter. The lake is going to be seeing a lot of us this week! Reverend Mark gave his first chaplain's hour this morning, and we all enjoyed it(: Small groups are getting to know each other, and our Lakeside family is getting bigger and bigger! We're enjoying each other's company and getting to know the new campers. We're looking forward to the rest of the week, and hope you're looking forward to hearing about it!

Is it Tuesday already?
Oh WOW! Camp will be here in a few short days. I have heard stories of massive crafting being done in preparation for Wo-Ho decorating. The smell of wood-burning...
...the sound of paper slicing and the immeasurable amount of double sided tape being dispensed are all going into YOUR experience for Lakeside Institute this week. I'm sure the men have something up their sleeves as well but nothing touches Wo-Ho decorations for Institute. We simply cannot help ourselves. There is something new coming for our experience this year. The picture above is a tiny little taste of what is coming. We are ALL getting so excited!

9 Days
Sorry all for not posting yesterday, time just got away from me.
Well here we are 9 days from camp. Right now we have 130+++ campers. If I had to guess we could have 140 in bunks on Sunday. God is great. I am so looking forward to Saturday when the staff gathers at lakeside. Right now we are all buried in the stress of pre-camp details. One of the huge details this year is just how many campers will we have. wondering how many cabins will we need this year. Will there be girls in cabins living on the Hill for the first time. Yes I said it there could be girls in cabins, many lakeside ladies have dreamed about having the chance to live in cabins.
With this does come the stress of have all the campers registered!!!!!!! I WANT TO TAKE SOME TIME TO SAY TO EVERYONE REGISTRATION WILL BE OFFICIALLY CLOSING ON MONDAY AT 4PM. We need everyone to be registered by Monday afternoon. If for some reason you miss the Monday deadline you must contact Randy Salyer or Lora Cramer ASAP. If you do not know how to contact Randy or Lora contact any staff person so we can get you to them. One of our worst nightmares is the thought of turning away a camper. So please help us and register!!!!! Call, facebook, text, tweet, whatever you need to do for those you know of that are on the fence or just haven't registered and get them to us.
See you at the Lake

11 Days
Well here we are again another day going by, another bunch of emails and facebook messages all preparing for camp. Today I have added even more numbers to our shirt order (175) and started placing the guys in their living spaces. Read an exciting email about the ever increasing number of campers, makes me wonder what the highest number has ever been. I know we have to be close this year. Randy made me kind of jealous yesterday, as we were on the phone discussing camp stuff he informed me how he was sitting pool side in Florida doing camp work. MUST BE NICE RANDY LOL. Well to all the staff hard at work thank you for all you do for the campers and for the camp. Wanted to share a few pictures today of us at our staff meetings this year.
It may be hard to believe but the dean's do work
work work work is all we do
